Instituted 18.10.1864 by King Wilhelm I. for soldiers fighting in the German-Danish War (called also Second Schleswig War). Awarded to soldiers of units participated in Assault on Dybbøl Ramparts (Erstürmung der Düppeler Schanzen), key battle of the war.
Nice awarded original (with groved loop), made of white bronze. Very nice condition, on old short ribbon. So nice preserved not often encountered on the collectors market.
