Instituted by Emperor Franz Joseph I to 50th Anniversary of His Reign. Awarded to military persons, which participated in one or more campaigns of the years 1848, 1849, 1859, 1864, 1866, 1869, 1878, 1882 and 1900-1901. Variant without inner border around portrait on the face.
