Goldenes Verdienstkreuz – Gold Cross of Merit

Instituted 1849 by Emperor Franz Joseph I. Cross in gold, on red ribbon for civil merits. Marked on the ring with manufacturers mark: Wilh. Kunz, Wien X. On the loop and on the ring star hallmark for bronze.

Gilded bronze, enameled. Very nice condition, with intact glass and enamel. On the red trangle ribbon.
