Gedächtnis-Medaille für 1849 – Commemorative Medal for 1849 Campaign

Grand Duchy of Baden. Medal stablished on 29.8.1849 by Grand Duke Leopold. Awarded to officers and soldiers who participated in the campaign against the rebels. Entitled were also soldiers of the auxiliary troops from the other German countries (Prussia mainly).
Nice old original with the wide square loop. Under the wreath letter K for the punchcutter Ludwig Kachel.
Bronze, very nice condition. On later ribbon.
