Established in 1866 by the King Ludwig II, together with the Militär-Verdienstorden (Military Merit Order). Merit Cross existed initially in two classes, 3rd Class was instituted in 1913.
Coppered bronze, construction with separate medaillons, very nice condition, with the original old ribbon. In the original old award box, made by L. Chr. Lauer, Nürnberg.
Old type blue box, very nice condition, lock complete and working.
