Croix Flamande des Trois Cités Nieuport, Dixmude & Ypres / Vlaams Kruis der Drie Steden Diksmuide, Nieuwpoort & Ieper – Flemish Cross of the Three Cities Diksmuide, Nieuwpoort & Ieper 1914-1918
The Cross was issued after World War I to those Flemings who had fought in ‘Flanders Field’, that is the ‘Westhoek’ (Western Corner) of the Province of West-Flanders, of which Diksmuide, Nieuwpoort and Ieper (Ypres in French) are the main towns.
Bronze, partially enamaled, very nicely preserved, on the old original ribbon, with all three batlle clasps.
