Медал за участие в Европейската война (1915-1918) – Medal for Participation in the European War 1915/1918

Medal instituted on December 9, 1933 by the Bulgarian Tsar Boris III. for participants of the First World War. Awarded to soldiers of the Bulgarian Army and other armies of the Central Powers. By the end of November 1939, around 50,000 medals had been awarded to Bulgarian citizens and almost 200,000 to foreigners, mainly Germans, Austrians and Hungarians.

Version for non-combatants, awarded a.o. to medical staff, priests, military officials, war correspondents etc.

Gilded non-ferrous metal, very nice condition, on the original triangle ribbon.
