Kolonial-Auszeichnung  in Silber – Colonial Decoration in Silver

Reference: Nimmergut (ADK) 789

Founded in 1922 by the German Colonial Veternas Association in two classes: 1 class (in silver) as a badge and 2nd class (in bronze) as a medal on the ribbon. The award was also called Löwenorden (Lion Order). The 1st class was Awarded to former soldiers from the Schutztruppe, the East Asian Expeditionary Force, the occupation forces in China and the Navy when they were deployed off the coasts of the colonies. There were approximately 10,000 awards from both classes.
