Iron Cross from I. Word War, instituted on 5.8.1914 by Emperor Wilhelm II. Awarded original, three piece flat construction, with magnetic core.
One of the varianst made by Wagner & Sohn, Berlin. Back marked with WS in square. In set with original case, with EK depiction on the lid. Case veneer in diamond pattern, lid light vaulted.
Very nice condition, with intact blackening and fine patina; pinset complete and working. Box light used, but no damages.
