Iron Cross from I. Word War, instituted on 5.8.1914 by Emperor Wilhelm II. Cross 2nd Class, marked on the ring with makers mark LW. According to Frank Wernitz book, cross attributed to Louis Werner, Berlin.

Excellent condition, iron core with intact blackening, great patina. On the original old ribbon, taken form a medal bar.
