Iron Cross from I. Word War, instituted on 5.8.1914 by Emperor Wilhelm II. Cross 2nd Class, marked on the ring with (a bit indinstinct) makers mark EW. According to Frank Wernitz book, cross attributed to Emil Wiechmann, Goldschmiedemeister, Berlin.

Excellent condition, iron core with intact blackening, great patina. On original old ribbon, taken off from a medal bar.
