Iron Cross from I. Word War, instituted on 5.8.1914 by Emperor Wilhelm II. Cross 2nd Class, marked on the ring with makers mark KO. According to Frank Wernitz book, cross attributed to manufacturer Klein & Quenzer, Oberstein.

Very nice condition, iron core with intact blackening, great patina. On old short ribbon.
