Talvisodan Muistomitali 1939-1940, Ulkomaalaisille rautaisena – Commemorative Medal of the Winter War, for Foreigners, iron

Instituted on 2. August.1940 for the participants of the so called Winter War (Talvisota), defending Finland against Soviet invasion 1939-1940. Version for foreigners (diameter 34 mm, back: Finnish Lion), awarded to the foreign volunteer soldiers. With the clasp Lappi. 10.000 pieces iron medals for foreigners were awarded only. Here a medal in set with named awarding bag and a ribbon piece (for ribbon bar). Nice aseldom offered set.
