Suomen Valkoisen Ruusun, 1. luokan rittarimerkki – The Order of the White Rose of Finland, Knight Cross 1st Class
Order instituted on 19.5.1919. Knight Cross 1st Class was awarded to officers with rank of Captain or civilian persons with degree equal wit it. For special meriys to a Lieutenant, too.
1. type awarded until 1936, scarce 1. variation from 1919-1923. Measurements 38 x 38 mm, narrow cross arms, on the ring more hallmarks: VL for Viktor Lindmann (used by the manufacturer Tillander & Lindmann in the period of 1918-1921), silver content mark 813H, crown, local mark Helsinki (boat) and year codeP5 (1920).
In the old wodden award box, marked by Tillander/Helsingfors.
