Médaille commémorativedu de l’Expédition du Tonkin – Commemorative Mdela for the Tonkin Expedition
Established 6.9.1885, awarded to participants of the French East Asia Expedition to Tonkin, China and Annam in the years 1883-1885. Army version, with six names of the most important battles at the back (navy version has seven names).
Design: Jean-Baptiste Daniel Dupuis
Manufacturer: Monnaie de Paris (Paris Mint), marked at the back with mint mark (cornucopia).
Silver with grat patina, very nice condition, on the original old ribbon.
