Established in on April 2nd 1915, awarded for bravery in battle field and war merits (also to foreigners). Here WW2 version.
Type with year 1939 at the back, awarded by 3rd Republic for the 1939-1940 camaign, as well by Free France until May 1945 (pos war awarded crosses have years 1939-1945 at the back).
Manufacturer: Monnaie de Paris (Paris Mint), marked at the back with mint mark (cornucopia) and BRFLO for bronze florentine
Bronze, very nice condition, on the original old ribbon with bronze star.
