Croix de la Valeur Militaire – Cross for Military Valours
Established in 1956. Awarded to French and allied soldiers for showing valour in presence of an enemy, in theatres of operations which are not subject to the award of the Croix de Guerre, i.e. during security or peacekeeping operations outside the French territory.
Manufacturer: Monnaie de Paris (Paris Mint), marked at the back with mint mark (cornucopia) and BR for bronze.
Bronze, in very good condition, on the old original ribbon with bronze star.
