Kriegsehrenzeichen – War Decoration of Honor

Award from the time of the First World War, donated in June 1916 by the Grand Duke Ernst Ludwig. Awarded to officers, NCOs and soldiers as well as medical personnel who had rendered outstanding services in the field of warfare. Already awarded to military personnel Ehrenzeichen für Kriegsfürsorge could be exchanged to the new decoration.
Coppered bronze, very nice condition, on old ribbon.
