Decoration established 1841 by the both princes Friedrich Wilhelm (Hohenzollern-Hechingen) and Carl (Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen). In 1851 Friedrich Wilhelm IV, the King of Prussia, has founded Königlicher Hausorden von Hohenzollern (Royal House Order of Hohenzollern) but these were independent two orders.
Here the third type, with year 1842, awarded since 1866.
Silver with fine old patina, swords gilt, excellent condition. On the right, but newer ribbon.
