Magyar Háborús Emlékérem 1914-1918 – Hungarian Commemorative Medal to World War 1914-1918
Medal instituted 1929 by Regent Miklos Horthy for the participants in World War I. Due to inscription on the back called also Pro Deo et Patria (For God and Fatherland). Version with swords, for combatants. Awarded to soldiers of the K.u.K-Army as well other Central Powers Armies, who have served in Hungarian units or on Hungarian territory. This Medal appears often in the German or Austrian medal bars.
Silvered bronze, very nice condition with nice patina. On the original combatant ribbon.
