Kolonial-Denkmünze – Colonial Medal

Instututed in 1912 by Emperor Wilhelm II. Awarded for participation in different military operations in the German Colonies – except the China-Expedition 1900-1901 and Sowuth-West Africqa campaign 1904-1908, for which separate awards were established. The medal was awarded also retroactively, and with different clasps for battles between 1884 and 1914.
Colonial medal was designed by the famous sculptor and medalist, professor Rudolf Marschall from Vienna.
Gilded bronze, excellent condition, on the long original ribbon.
