Wehrmacht Combat award form the Word War 2, established on 20.12.1939 by the Oberbefehlshaber des Heeres (Chief Commander of the Army) field marshall Walter von Brauchitsch. Awarded to tank crew soldiers for participation in at least three assaults on three different days in the foremost frontline. On 22.6.1943 additionad grades were instituted, to reward participation in 25, 50, 75 or 100 armoured actions.
Version instituted in 1957, without nazi symbols.
Badge not marked, but a well known variant by manufacturer Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid. Type made 1968-1979.
Silvered metal, three piece constuction with oxyded tank and bronze shield. Excellent unworn condition.
