Instituted on 30.04.1940 by Army Headquarters. Manufacturing: Hugenin Freres, Le Locle (Switzerland). Manufacturers mark on the obverse and on the nut.
Early version, wrong colors sequence on the French flag (later was corrected).
Silvered and gilt metal, partially enamaled. Very nice condition, with original nut.
