Kriegsdenkmünze 1870/71 (für Kämpfer) – Commemorative Medal of 1870/71 War (for combatants)
Reference: OEK 1941/1
Instituted 20.05.1864 by King and Emperor Wilhelm I. for soldiers fighting in the Franco-Prussian War. Combatant version, made of bronze from captured enemy canons: on the rim inscription AUS EROBERTEM GESCHÜTZ.
Nice awarded original, with edge inscription. Very nice condition, on the long old ribbon, taken from a medal bar.
