Dienstauszeichnung 3. Klasse für 9 Jahre – Long Service Decoration 3rd Class for 9 Years
Reference: OEK 1973
Decoration for NCO and enlisted ranks, instituted first time in 1825 by the King Friedrich Wilhelm III. Clasp-form, awarded until 1912 (later replaced by medal with ribbon).
3rd form, produced 1856-1875. Back manufacturer’s mark, partially hard to read, but it’s most possibly Sy-Wagner.
Blackened iron with silver frame, very nice condition. On original ribbon on metal plate with pin-set (pin probably ald repaired).
