Rote-Kreuz-Medaille 3. Klasse – Red Cross Medal 3rd Class

Reference: OEK 1872/2

Cross instituted on 1.10.1898 by the Emperor Wilhelm II, inspired by his wife Augusta Victoria (letters on face mean: W – Wilhelm, R – Rex A – Augusta, V – Victoria). Awarded to women and men for merits for the Red Cross, both in war as well in peacetime.

Zinc version, awarded 1917-1921. With integrated loop. 

Very nice condition, on original old ribbon, formed as bow.
