Cross instituted on 1.10.1898 by the Emperor Wilhelm II, inspired by his wife Augusta Victoria (letters on face mean: W – Wilhelm, R – Rex A – Augusta, V – Victoria). Awarded to women and men for merits for the Red Cross, both in war as well in peacetime.

Zinc version, with integrated loop, nice condition, on original old ribbon.
