Reference: OEK 1872/2

Cross instituted on 1.10.1898 by the Emperor Wilhelm II, inspired by his wife Augusta Victoria (letters on face mean: W – Wilhelm, R – Rex A – Augusta, V – Victoria). Awarded to women and men for merits for the Red Cross, both in war as well in peacetime.

Zinc version, with integrated loop, nice condition, gilding partially preserved, on the correct, but newer ribbon.
