Instututed first time in 1905 by the DUke Ernst I, since 1909 with portrait of Ernst II. On 15.8.1915 was the ribbon clasp “1914” established. Medal with clasp was awarded for wair aid and nursing.

Silver with nice patina, on a short piuece of the original old ribbon.
