Albrechtsorden. Ritterkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern – Albert Order – Knight Cross 2nd Class with Swords

Established in 1850 by the king Albert, since 1876 Knight Cross divided to 1st and 2nd Class.
Older type, manufactured until 1911: multipart medallions with high edge, swords embossed in one side.This type made before WW1 ist really scarce with swords. Awarding possibly for a colonial war.
On the ring marked S for the manufacturer: Scharffenberg, Dresden.
Silver, gilt or enameled, very nice condition, with intact enamel. On the original old ribbon, taken form a medal bar.
