First World War type, instututed on 3.3.1918 by Emperor Wilhelm II. Wound Badge in Black was awarded fro one or two wounds. Awarded 1918-1936.
Embossed, blackened iron (magentic). Variant with integrated catch and hinge, at the hook marked: DRGM (Deutsche Reichs-Gebrauchsmuster = German State Utility Model). Since July 1918 patent for this construction of badge beloged to Wilhelm Deumer, Lüdenscheid.
Pinset complete and working, badge in very nice condition.
